Andy Vance is widely recognized across Ohio as one of the state’s leading farm broadcasters. An active member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB), he received the 2006 NAFB Horizon Award recognizing excellence in farm broadcasting and promise for the future. In 2005, he was selected to host a national Farm Bill Listening Session with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns.

Andy has worked in agriculture all his life, and in farm radio his entire career. His farm broadcast experience began at ABN Radio in Columbus where he worked as a studio producer and delivered market reports on a statewide farm network. From there, he began working for WRFD Radio in Columbus and soon became the Director of Farm Broadcast Operations for Ohio Farm Radio. While serving as farm director, Andy propelled Ohio Farm Radio to one of the most-popular and the most-profitable program on the station.

In 2005, he and his wife, Lindsay, decided to launch the next generation in rural programming, The BARN. Two years later, they took over ABN Radio bringing Andy back to where he started his radio career.

In addition to being an accomplished broadcaster, Andy uses his marketing expertise to consult with clients across the state helping them to develop complete marketing strategies. His greatest talent is his ability to learn the deepest need of each client, and turn those needs into dynamic radio campaigns.

A former member of the state officer team, Andy is an active supporter of the Ohio FFA serving on the Ohio FFA Sponsors team and as a past member of the Ohio FFA Alumni Council. He also serves on the Ohio State University Ag Education Advisory Committee.

Andy was raised on a farm in Hillsboro, Ohio. As a child, he spent a great deal of time helping his father who worked at a 2,000 head hog operation. He was also involved in showing cattle in 4-H and still owns a small herd of Maine and crossbred cattle.
